She is like the merchant ships?

Spiritual food is far more important than physical food. Sometimes we have to travel to find the place where the Lord has the word for your souls. We are very grateful for the determined study and canvasing the area that our children did to find the place that God has ordained for the feeding of our souls. The Holy Spirit is free to move in the service. There is liberty of worship and love of the brethren. There are classes for each of the ages of our children. Ben's gifts and graces are being nurtured and built up. We are enjoying a season of spiritual growth and safety in the midst of the people of God here in North Carolina. We do have to travel, but it is worth it to us to sense the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. We are thankful for the children who knew that there are alot of churches down here in NC, but God has only one for us!

"Faith, Hope, and Love, these three"...

Is there a nurturance of the things that encourage love in the home and in the marriage. Happy Valentines Day! We are either practicing love from 1st Corinthians 13 or we are practicing separation. The bonds of marriage and the bonds of love are an entanglement of beauty or a tapestry of skilled hands, created by God. Some seasons feel like a mesh of confusion and some seasons the picture is becoming more visible out of the mesh. Hanging on and waiting for the grace to live out the love that we have committed to. "The greatest of these is Love!"

The Wise woman...

Builds her house? Are we building or plucking down with our hands? Attitudes of insolence and obsequience, whatever that means. Blind our family from the light of wisdom which He gave us to impart. Is the law of kindness on your tongue? Is the God of peace in your heart? NC is a wonderful place to see women who represent that image. In NY we consider that a facade. We want what's real to look real. Sometimes a little facade is in order to keep the boat afloat...

The Fool has said!

There is no God. He has relegated his existence to the here and now and his pursuits for that of self fulfillment. When his appetite is satisfied, it is time to bail out, so as not to experience the consequences of his actions. The End is his epitaph. He lives for the climax and not for the drudgery. The character in the movie we saw last night personified that exactly. Watch for our souls for such foolish fruitions.

What are you weaving, daughters? Blessed are the meek...

A complete difference between boys and girls are the questions they ask and the questions I ask mine. In the beginning of Proverbs thirty one the woman seems a little annoyed to continually be asking and answering questions from the son and goes on to give him a lesson. I rarely have had my daughters pepper me with questions. They just seem to run off willy nilly with this thought and that thought and it is always my aim to reign them in to one or more specific goals. Staying on task is the order of the day. Beginning a story and completing it. Beginning a tapestry and completing it. Questions about where your minds are going daughter are intended to force you to articulate your goal and intention and thus perservere more intently to the goal.
Not a one of you have the same ambitions as I. That doesn't matter, what matters is, that you continue to the accomplishment. Perhaps a school for the deaf after much study. Perhaps a jewelry making design center and design life, perhaps a political socialite; whatever you do, weave your ambitions for the glory of God. Don't run off half cocked, because your mother and your father embarrassed you in the way that we do. Act decidedly and be the sharpened arrow in the quiver which accomplishes the will of God in this world. I love you!
