Looking at Irene Dunne, play mama...

in I Remember Mama, helps to orient me so much. The first scene in the movie, they use the word good, so many times. Financial goodness is impressed and taught. The special teamwork that it took for immigrant people to make it in America, during the Depression is so impressive. God's Word has alot to say about the wisdom and guidance and preservation that family can be in any season.
This season of financial leanness has come to us and we must study how our predecessors preserved and maintained in order to survive and we must do like wise.
Mama kept one thought in their mind, it is good and we don't have to go to the bank. In other words borrowing is our very last option.

God give us grace to be wise and thrifty and grow and survive these lean times.
